From the Cartasvivas team

Cartasvivas are voices from history. They are snapshots of women’s memory. Cartasvivas is a free-access online testimonial audiovisual library promoting knowledge acquisition and debate. This project recovers the private history of relevant thinkers through their words. It stems from our interest in getting to know women who played an important role in the 20th century or who actively lived the social and literary avant-garde in Spain or Latinamerica. It shows contributions, contradictions, lights and shadows. To do that, we present their thoughts and words in a new pedagogical format making a testimonial online library. In Cartasvivas you will find women from different backgrounds who took part in the tense modernity of the last century.

We hope you find these memory snapshots interesting.
